Account settings

Your account’s Settings page (/account/settings) manages personal account credentials. These settings belong to your identity alone and apply across all organizations you belong to.

Your display name is set during initial registration or provided by your identity provider. It appears on comments, invitations, and audit log entries attributed to you.

Accounts that authenticate using email and password can change their registered email address. (Accounts using external identity providers must update their email directly with their provider).

Updating your email requires two 6-digit verification codes:

  1. Enter the new email address, which must not already be registered.
  2. Two 6-digit codes are dispatched simultaneously:
    • One to your current email address.
    • One to your new email address.
  3. Enter both verification codes into the console. Both codes expire after 15 minutes.

When the email update succeeds:

  • All active sessions are terminated immediately (including the current session). You must sign in again with your new email address.
  • Any pending deletion codes or sensitive confirmation codes issued to the old email address are invalidated.

For email/password accounts, select Email me a password reset link. A single-use token is dispatched to your email address, valid for 60 minutes. Using the reset link invalidates all existing sessions and updates the stored Argon2id password hash.
