Members and invitations
Collaborators join an organization or project by invitation. An invitation grants a role of Admin or Member.
Scope of an invitation
Section titled “Scope of an invitation”Telmoni supports two invitation scopes:
- Organization invitations: Invited from the organization’s Members page
(
/organization/members). Grants an organization role (AdminorMember). An invited Organization Admin gains administrative access across all projects in the organization. - Project invitations: Invited from a project’s Members page
(
/[projectId]/members). Grants access directly to that project as anAdminorMemberwithout granting organization-wide permissions.
Inviting someone
Section titled “Inviting someone”An Owner or Admin can send invitations:
- Navigate to the Members page of the organization or project.
- Enter the recipient’s email address and choose a role (Admin or Member).
- Telmoni emails an invitation link, and the console displays the link once so you can share it directly.
An invitation is created for any email address, whether or not they currently hold a Telmoni account. Inviting someone never discloses whether the address is already registered.
Invitations expire automatically after 7 days (OFFER_TTL_DAYS).
Accepting or declining
Section titled “Accepting or declining”Invitations can be answered in two places:
- The console bell & notifications: Pending invitations appear in the bell icon
in the console header and on your account’s Notifications page
(
/account/notifications). You can accept or decline directly without leaving your current view. - The email link: Opens a verification view showing the organization or project and the role granted. You must sign in or register with the exact email address the invitation was sent to.
Accepting an invitation records an audit event and posts a member_added notice
to the workspace feed. Declining an invitation removes it immediately.
Withdrawing a pending invitation
Section titled “Withdrawing a pending invitation”An Owner or Admin can withdraw a pending invitation at any time from the Members page by selecting Withdraw on its row. Withdrawn links are invalidated immediately.
Changing roles and removing members
Section titled “Changing roles and removing members”An Owner or Admin can change a member’s role or remove them from the Members page:
- Role changes: Changing between Admin and Member takes effect immediately and is recorded in the audit log.
- Removing members: Removing a member revokes their access immediately.
- The Owner cannot be removed or demoted: The Owner’s row is marked Owner and carries no removal controls. To change the Owner, the current Owner must initiate an ownership transfer.
Leaving an organization or project
Section titled “Leaving an organization or project”- Members and Admins can leave a project or organization from the Members page or workspace overview.
- The Owner cannot leave until ownership is transferred to an Admin or the organization is deleted.
Invitation limits
Section titled “Invitation limits”An organization can send up to 20 invitations in any 24 hours (including withdrawn ones). There is no hard limit on the total number of members in an organization.
